Choice in Learning - Ribbon Cutting

Come join us for a Ribbon Cutting to help Chamber Member, Choice in Aging, as they celebrate the opening of their new Montessori School, Choice in Learning.
 

Choice in Learning is a Montessori Preschool born from an immediate need in the Pleasant Hill community. When parents came to us in a panic because their preschool gave them 30-day notice of closure, the Choice in Aging Board knew they could help and thus was born Choice in Learning. We will stay true to the Montessori philosophy, focused on child-centered learning and guided teachings with the same phenomenal director and staffing to lead in the learning.

What makes this even more exciting is the opportunity to create a mutually beneficial intergenerational program; matching preschool children with our aging population to play balloon bash volleyball, sing together, read together and perhaps even lunch together.  This model of learning and activities is evidence-based and has proven that the level of joy increases for both populations; making this endeavor a huge win-win!
